Overview
My client, a global leading Logistics company based in the Dublin North area is currently looking to recruit an exceptional Business Development Manager for an immediate start.
The role in a nutshell:
As a strategic Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to successfully execute the sales process to generate revenue growth and profitability, through initiation and development of business opportunities with new and existing customers.
Main duties include:
- Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers that meet or exceed established targets via prospecting, networking, and referral activities.
- Understanding the needs of the company’s target audience and creating a plan to meet them. Work with the finance team, logistics, and warehousing teams.
- Set aims and objectives for the organisation – increasing business from direct customers and reducing reliance on 3PL business.
- Help identify new business opportunities for the company, including possible growth areas, emerging markets, and useful trends.
- Establish relationships with strategic customers with decision making authority and/or influence to understand opportunities for creating value.
- Identify and propose logistics solutions to customers utilising company products and services that translate into sales.
- Attend conferences and seminars and discussing promotional strategies with the marketing department.
- Provide input and guidance on content for website and social media to increase brand awareness.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in a “business-to-business” sales role within the logistics industry
- Commercial & financial acumen.
- Influence and impact people across all levels in the organisation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
- Full Clean Driver’s License
